1. About these terms
These terms apply to the use of the Karen Nappa dashboard, run by Karen Nappa (karennappa.com). By creating an account or using the dashboard, you agree to these terms. Questions can be sent to author@karennappa.com.
2. Your account
- You register with your own name and a working email address. Every login is confirmed with a code sent to that address.
- An account only gives access to the dashboard after an administrator has approved it. We decide who gets access and can refuse a request without giving a reason.
- Keep your password and login codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens with your account.
- Let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to your account.
3. Using the dashboard
You may use the dashboard for work for or with Karen Nappa. You may not:
- share your access with others or let others use your account;
- try to get into parts of the dashboard or data you have no access to;
- overload the dashboard or use it to send large numbers of requests to Amazon or other websites;
- upload content that you have no right to use or that is illegal.
4. Tags, suggestions and AI
Genres, settings, pairings, tropes, word counts and other results are created automatically, sometimes with the help of AI. They are meant as a helpful starting point and can contain mistakes. Always check results before you publish or share them.
5. Affiliate links
The Book Tagger creates Amazon affiliate links for Karen Nappa. Do not buy through these links yourself and do not use them in a way that breaks the rules of the Amazon Associates programme.
6. Your content and ours
- Manuscripts and other content you upload stay yours. You only give us permission to process them as far as needed to provide the dashboard.
- The dashboard itself, its design, the Karen Nappa name and logo belong to Karen Nappa and may not be copied or reused without permission.
7. Availability
We do our best to keep the dashboard available and working, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or stop (parts of) the dashboard, for example for maintenance or improvements.
8. Liability
The dashboard is provided as it is. We are not liable for indirect damage, lost income or damage caused by mistakes in automatically created results. Our liability is in any case limited to the amount that our insurance pays out, or, if nothing is paid out, to 100 euros. This does not apply if the damage was caused by our intent or gross negligence.
9. Ending your access
- You can anonymize your account yourself at any time on your profile page. This removes your personal data and cannot be undone.
- We can pause or end your access at any time, for example when you break these terms or when your work with Karen Nappa ends.
- What happens to your data after that is described in the privacy statement.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will let you know about important changes by email or in the dashboard. If you keep using the dashboard after a change, you accept the new terms.
11. Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes are first solved together where possible. If that does not work, the dispute is submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
